Abstract
The purpose of this study is to contribute to the improvement of educational value of social value creation through project - oriented curriculum design and implementation at K university. For the sustainable development of mankind, corporations have expressed that it is important not only to create economic value but also to create social value, and it is necessary to develop and conduct curriculum at university to cultivate human resources. Therefore, this study is based on case study of 'Honors Closet' project through PBL (Project Based Learning) design based on social value creation and service design. First, we used Porter’s strategy and evaluation model and service design thinking for case study of ‘Honors Closet’ capstone design project. Second, we surveyed to test the effect of ’Honors Closet’ on creating social value. The process of ‘Honors Closet’ is as follows. First, we identified facing social issues on recycling to target. Second, we designed the business model to solve defined issues. Third, we implemented full process with developing business model. Fourth, we evaluated the results of the project and reviewed insights to unlock new value. Finally, we found that the students who have participated to the ‘Honors Closet’ had more social value than the others. This is significant that it presents a curriculum and activities to plan and carry out projects based on the theme of creating social value in university education.
