Regulations on the Operation of the KBR (Korea Business Review) Editorial Board

Chapter 1. General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose) The purpose of these regulations is to establish rules governing the operation of the Editorial Board in accordance with Article 33, Chapter 6 of the Articles of Association of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA).
Article 2 (Purpose of Establishing the Editorial Board) In accordance with Article 33, Chapter 6 of the Articles of Association of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA), an Editorial Board is established to deliberate on the review, editing, and publication of papers to be published in Korea Business Review.
Chapter 2. Composition and Term of Office
Article 3 (Composition) In accordance with Article 33, Chapter 6 of the Articles of Association of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA), the Editorial Board consists of the Editor-in-Chief, the Managing Editor, and Editorial Board members.
Article 4 (Qualifications for Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Members) The Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Editorial Board members of the Society must meet all of the following qualifications:
- Holder of a doctoral degree in a relevant field
- At least 10 years of research experience in a relevant field
Article 5 (Composition and Term of Office of the Editorial Board)
- The Editorial Board consists of up to 30 Editorial Board members, including the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief shall be a person who meets the qualification criteria for Editorial Board members and is appointed by the President of the Society.
- The Managing Editor and Editorial Board members shall be persons who meet the qualification criteria for Editorial Board members, nominated by the Editor-in-Chief and appointed by the President of the Society.
- The term of office for the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board members is two years, and they may be reappointed.
- The composition of the Editorial Board shall take into consideration the balance of specialized areas within business administration and regional representation.
Chapter 3. Status and Authority
Article 6 (Status and Authority of the Editorial Board)
- The Editorial Board has independent status and authority regarding the editorial operations of Korea Business Review.
- The Editorial Board may deliberate on or amend regulations concerning the editing, submission, and review of Korea Business Review.
- The Editorial Board is responsible for composing the reviewer panel, recommending and appointing reviewers, and commissioning reviews.
- The Editorial Board independently decides whether to publish manuscripts based on review results.
- The Editorial Board discusses other matters related to journal editing and publication.
- The Editorial Board selects recipients of the "KBR Outstanding Paper Award" and the "KBR Best Reviewer Award."
Article 7 (Special Issue Publication) When special circumstances warrant, a special issue may be published upon resolution of the Editorial Board. However, papers published in the special issue must also have passed the review process established by Korea Business Review's editorial regulations and received an approval decision.
Chapter 4. Meetings and Budget
Article 8 (Meetings) The Editor-in-Chief shall convene the Editorial Board at least twice a year. Editorial Board meetings may be held either (1) in person at a designated location or (2) via email, taking into consideration the nationwide distribution of members.
Article 9 (Resolutions) When the Editorial Board meeting is held in person at a designated location, a quorum for resolutions requires attendance of a majority of the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Editorial Board members, including proxy votes, and approval by a majority of those present. In the event of a tie, the Editor-in-Chief shall cast the deciding vote. When the Editorial Board meeting is conducted via email, a quorum for resolutions requires approval by a majority of the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Editorial Board members, including proxy votes. In the event of a tie, the Editor-in-Chief shall cast the deciding vote.
Article 10 (Budget) Expenses for editorial operations are covered by submission fees and publication fees, and any shortfall is supplemented by the budget of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA).
Article 11 (Amendment) Amendments to these regulations require a resolution of the Board of Directors in accordance with Article 33, Chapter 6 of the Articles of Association of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA).
Addendum
Article 1 (Effective Date) These regulations shall take effect from April 1, 2015.
