Abstract
The purpose of this study is to derive a rural area development business model by utilizing the cultural area development strategy, which has recently been attracting attention as a local development strategy that comprehensively pursues social, cultural, and economic values. Through this, it was intended to provide implications for establishing cultural rural area development goals and establishing comprehensive strategies. To achieve the purpose, first, the DHP method was used to analyze the success factors and relative importance of cultural rural area development, and to derive a business ecosystem model from the perspective of business ecosystem and service value network to promote successful cultural rural area development. As a result of the study, it was found that the most important success factors for the development of cultural rural areas were the creation of the local business environment and policy support, followed by internal cooperation and service innovation system, regional cultural resource competitiveness, local people capacity, and external cooperation system. It showed the level of importance. The business ecosystem model presented stakeholders, roles, and relationships for successful cultural rural development, including local cultural resource innovation and management organizations, private certification and cooperation support organizations. This study is meaningful in that it not only emphasizes the necessity of innovation, but also proposes specific success factors for cultural rural development and a business model to achieve it.
