Abstract

New job creation is a major concern of research in the business/economics field. This study investigate the role of corporation, government, university, and job seeker for new job creation. Although the significance of job creation for economic development is widely accepted, with less attention given to corporation, government, university, and the job seeker’s role in fostering job creation to promote innovation growth. This research conducted three studies to investigate the research purpose using three different samples. Both survey and interview studies(participants: job seekers) examined the core job creation problems suggested in the present study. In addition, using case study and interview in various areas such as small-medium enterprises, large corporations, and universities, this study explored the key factors for enhancing job creation. The current study founds that the government’ support activities have a positive influence on the creation of new employment. Also, it is necessary to establish fair selection process of firms and to promote creativity/logical thinking educational curriculum of university so as to expand new employment creation. Finally, this study suggests that job seekers build creative/critical thinking competencies that meet the standard of core talent on the basis of corporations’ employment strategies. The current study could serve as the foundation on the new employment creation in South Korea given its investigations of the effects of different organizations and job seekers on the new job creation.
