Abstract
Korea Business Review(KBR) of KASBA has played an important role in developing business administration case studies and theories. KBR published the first issue of Management Education Research in 1997, and then it has published 454 papers so far (2015 May). In 2015, KASBA meet the 60th anniversary of the establishment. In order for the future challenges of Korean business administration research, it is time to take view of the future research direction. This research aims to analyze the 19 volumes, the 50 numbers, and the 454 papers of KBR. The research results of the bibliometric analysis are as follows. First, studies on management education sector are decreasing. Second, most studies are single-case studies that could be misunderstood as a promotional research. Third, university-industry linkage papers, foreign authors' papers, and papers written in a foreign language have a small percentage. Fourth, the term between shooting and publishing is too long. Next the research results about the impact factor of the citation are as follows. First, the published order in an issue did not affect the citation index. Second, as a paper referred references more, the citation index of the paper became bigger. Third, the number of authors of a research did not affect the citation index of the paper. Fourth, the research which had the research background, was referred more than others. Fifth, as the research contained quantitative study, it was referred more. Sixth, the use of the sub-title of a paper had a negative effect on citations. The management methods for enhancing KBR are as follows. Firstly, treatment needs to increase studies on the management education. Secondly, multiple cases are needed to be encouraged more than single case. Thirdly, it needs to widen the industry-academy co-work. Also, internationalization of research papers is required. Fourthly, revision time should be reduced. Fifthly, it is needed to sort papers not by the received order but by the quality order of papers. Sixthly, the proposal of leading topics about social issues is necessary.
